The KAS-80A functions as a space-saving power distribution monitoring instrument designed for industrial switchboards, control panels, and generator enclosures. By turning the built-in phase selector toggle, an operator can dynamically shift the meter's internal measurement circuit to read alternating current values across Phase R, Phase S, and Phase T (or L1, L2, and L3).
The mechanical engine utilizes a moving-iron or moving-coil indicator system tracking values up to a standard baseline input of 5A AC, allowing it to pair directly with universal external Current Transformers (CT) to display up to thousands of Amperes based on the faceplate's scaling.
